1-Year Listener

I'm a 34 year old listener from Virginia Beach, VA. I grew up only going to church on Easter and sometimes Christmas. Not only did I not keep that up as a free-thinking adult, but I also still claimed Christianity. I've since learned the term cultural Christian and that's been me my whole life until a year ago. I walked into a church down the street from me on a whim and my 5th grade P.E. teacher was preaching. I shot him an email after service saying "no way!" By the end of the next week, I had my first bible and was enrolled in a Starting Point class. It's changed my life forever.
I started listening to your podcast in September of '24. At first, I felt way in over my head on these things, but I stuck with it; not just your podcast, but church, a men's group, and reading my Bible. While you guys still talk about things I have no idea about, you both make the topics super digestible and understandable. My faith is young, but my desire to know Him and my hunger for knowledge of Him continues to grow. I wanted to take a moment to thank y'all for doing what you do. Truly. Your podcast is now a part of my weekly routine and it means a lot to me.
