Galatians | You Have Been Tricked

Galatians | You Have Been Tricked

Season 3, Episode 2

In this episode, Michael and Zach continue their series through Galatians by examining Paul’s forceful argument in Galatians 3:1–14. Paul begins by asking the Galatians a series of pointed questions: if they received the Spirit through faith, why would they now turn to works of the Law to complete what God began? From there, the discussion moves to Abraham, who was counted righteous by faith centuries before the Mosaic Law, showing that justification by faith is not a New Testament innovation but part of God’s redemptive plan from the beginning. Michael and Zach then explore why the Law cannot justify sinners, how its demands expose humanity to the curse, and how Christ redeems His people by becoming a curse for them. The episode culminates in Paul’s central contrast: righteousness is not achieved by adding human works to Christ, but received through faith in the One who bore the curse and secured the blessing promised to Abraham.
